Election Law Changes

In March 2021, the Georgia legislature passed SB202, a bill that significantly changed a number of aspects related to Georgia's election and voting laws. We have updated the website to reflect these many changes to help you understand them and continue to be a successful voter.

In June 2021, the U.S. Department of Justice announced a lawsuit had been filed against the State of Georgia over voting restrictions enacted in SB202. As this federal lawsuit makes its way through the court system, you can be sure we will continue to make any necessary updates to the website to ensure you have accurate and up-to-date voting information.
